Each year, the Malakoff Rotary Club nominates and sponsors two eleventh grades students from Cross Roads High school and Malakoff High school to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) an intensive leadership experience organized by Rotary clubs and districts where students develop their skills as a leader while having fun and making connections.
The purpose of RYLA is to energize the next generation of community leaders through Rotary Youth Leadership Awards. Not only will RYLA help young people develop their potential as service-minded leaders, it will energize and inspire your Rotary club and challenge them to discover their own power to be an influential community leader.
Cross Roads High School students Wesley Rogers and Danaleigh Stiles and Malakoff High School students Chandler Trnka and Michelle Wingo were the students chosen by the Malakoff Rotary to attend the RYLA Leadership camp on February 9th-11th. These students experienced a weekend full of leadership building and team building activities. Congratulations to these students and a special thank you to the Rotary Club of Malakoff for their generosity for sponsoring these young leaders.
