Cross Roads High School Senior Highlights
Lani Ford is the daughter of Jennifer and Kenneth Baggett and Lanny Ford of Athens. Lani is a thirteen year senior at Cross Roads High School and is currently ranked 6th in a highly competitive class. While attending high school, Lani has been attending Trinity Valley Community College as a dual credit student and was chosen to be a member of the Trinity Valley Community College Phi Theta Kappa organization.
Lani is the Cross Roads High School Yearbook Editor and has been on the yearbook staff for 2 years. While attending high school, Lani has participated in the Family, Career & Community Leaders of America, Book Club, the Bobcat Band Color Guard, and the National Honor Society, and a member of the Gifted and Talented program.
Throughout Lani’s academic career in Cross Roads, she has received numerous awards and accolades for her citizenship, attitude and grades including District Champion for Ready Writing and Literary Criticism, the Biology award, the Chemistry award, and the World Geography award. Lani is has won several essay and scholarship contests including, first place in the national “Adopt A Vet” scholarship essay, second place in the Texas Youth Fiction Writing Contest and the Daughters of the American Revolution Essay contest.
Lani Ford will graduate as a Distiguished Honor graduate in May 2017 with 45 college hours from Trinity Valley Community College. Lani has been accepted to Abilene Christian University where she plans to attend this fall and major in English and acquire her teaching certification.
